Here are the Christmas photos released by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge since 2014 when George was just 17 months old. 

Nativity Play Flashback

 

Princess Charlotte and Prince George have started their school break for Christmas. No images or stories have emerged of their roles in Nativity plays but below is a cute photo of their dad, Prince William. 

William can be seen walking with his classmates to a hall near his school. From memory he was to play a shepherd.

2020 Christmas Card

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released their annual Christmas card featuring a photo by photographer Matt Porteous. 

The couple and children George, Charlotte and Louis are pictured in front of a woodpile at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall. 

 

Cambridge Family Step Out - Cuteness Alert!

Princes George and Louis and sister Princess Charlotte of Cambridge joined their parents for a trip to the theatre in London's West End yesterday. For their first family public engagement, the Cambridges went to Pantoland at the Palladium Theatre where families of front line staff are being treated to a special Christmas theatre production to say thank you for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Young Louis is now two and a half and most likely will start nursery school in early January. Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington was attended by Charlotte until she started school just over a year ago. Louis was the family star, sitting on mum Catherine's lap and sucking his thumb. 

Prince William gave a speech at the start of the event and Charlotte could be seen leaning on the balcony of the Royal Box to watch her dad.

 

 

 

Rest In Peace Lupo

 

Cambridge pet dog Lupo has died after nine wonderful years with Catherine and William at their various homes at Kensington Palace, Anmer Hall and early marital abode in Angelsey, Wales.

 Lupo was a cocker spaniel bred by Catherine's brother James Middleton and gifted to his sister after the royal wedding in 2011. The loyal hound was featured in several family photographs released by the Cambridges and died last week. 

Kensington Palace posted a photo and message on Instagram. R.I.P. Lupo.....

There has been little news about the Cambridge children lately, mainly because George
and Charlotte have been back at school after the summer holidays.

 However, we can reveal the half-term break last week offered another chance for the family to spend a few days on the Isles of Scilly, just as they did in the summer. The beautiful Isles are off the Cornish coast and William will one day inherit the title Duke of Cornwall from father Prince Charles when he is King. And so George will be Duke of Cornwall when William is King. 

It seems the Cambridges are getting to know a part of Britain that will come to play a large role on their lives in the years to come. 

Before they went to Cornwall, the Duchess of Cambridge, George, Charlotte and Louis baked cup cakes which were donated to a Royal British Legion care home in Norfolk, near Anmer Hall. This was in aid of the Poppy Appeal. 

And last in our update, it has been revealed that Prince William contracted COVID-19 in April, around the same time as his father Prince Charles and Prime Minister Boris Johnson. William isolated at Anmer Hall with his family and was treated by Palace doctors. He continued to perform duties via Zoom during the lockdown and so the public were not aware of his illness.

Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte ask Sir David Attenborough questions in a video released by Kensington Palace.

Sir David gives very enthusiastic responses to the children who are "massive fans " according to their mother Catherine.

Sir David Visits Kensington Palace

Sir David Attenborough, 94 visited the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace on 24th September and presented Prince George with a 23 million year old giant shark tooth.

Sir David gave William and Catherine a special preview of his latest documentary, A Life On Our Planet. The Duchess has recently said how their three children are massive fans of Sir David. 

Summer Holidays Come To An End

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are due back at school on Monday 7th September. Charlotte will begin year 1 and George year 3. 
Over the long summer break the Cambridges spent most of their time at Anmer Hall in Norfolk but did spend a few days in the Scilly Isles and also a visit to Balmoral Castle to stay with the Queen and Prince Philip. It is thought that this was the first opportunity for the family to see Her Majesty since the start of lockdown. 

Recently it was reported that Catherine and the three youngsters visited a popular pottery activity business,  Mabel's Paint Pot in King's Lynn, Norfolk. The trip was on 14th March, just before the lockdown began, with George and Charlotte leaving their handprints and names on the wall. Two weeks ago, the family returned to Mabel's for more fun before school resumes.
The Cambridges will relocate from Anmer Hall to Apartment 1A Kensington Palace this weekend. Hopefully we will get a photo of George, Charlotte and possibly two year old Louis released by Kensington Palace.

Royal Holiday In The Isles Of Scilly

The Cambridges have headed to the Isles of Scilly off the Cornwall coast for a summer break. The family spent several days holidaying before returning to Norfolk of Friday. 

George, Charlotte and Louis were treated to a relaxing beach getaway where their dad Prince William also visited in 1989 at the age of seven, the same age as George is now. The Cambridges were spotted cycling on Tresco on Thursday.

Having spent the COVID-19 lockdown at Anmer Hall, the family was no doubt glad to take a 
trip away for a change of scene.

Birthday Boy George

Birthday portraits of Prince George released by Kensington Palace!

Happy 7th Birthday Prince George

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge turns 7 years old on 22nd July. The eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, George is third in line to the British throne and will one day be King after his grandfather Prince Charles and father Prince William.

George was born in the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington at 4.24pm on the hottest day of the year. The Duchess's parents Carole and Michael Middleton as well as Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall visited the new parents the next day before baby George was taken home to Nottingham Cottage, Kensington Palace.

After Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth visited the trio at home William, Catherine and baby decamped to the Middleton's Berkshire estate to find their feet as new parents with family support. 

The Cambridge's future Kensington Palace home, Apartment 1A was still being renovated as was Anmer Hall in Norfolk. William was still a RAF Search and Rescue pilot in those days and based at RAF Valley in Angelsey, Wales. 

Baby George and his mum joined William in their rented home until the Duke resigned and took up a period of royal duties and training for his future royal role. 

Prince George was a very difficult baby, not keen on sleep but for the first months William and Catherine resisted hiring a nanny. Later in the year a former nanny of William's, Jessie Webb helped out on a part time basis. As royal commitments increased, the household was joined by full-time Norland nanny, Maria Teresa Borrallo just in time for the Australia and New Zealand tour in April 2014. 

George attended Westacre Montessori preschool in Norfolk and then at the age of 4 years and two months, he started at Thomas's Battersea in London. He will commence Year 3 in September.

The prince loves transport, especially helicopters and has also taken to football, most notably Chelsea. Dinosaurs are another favourite. 

George is a rather shy little boy and it is hard to get him to smile for the cameras. But he is very well behaved in public and Prince William in particular is gently schooling George for his future role.
