George, Charlotte and Louis Attend Christmas Day Mass

Happy Christmas to all readers of this blog. Here are some lovely photos of the Wales family attending Christmas Day mass with the extended Royal Family.

Princess Anne’s granddaughter Mia Tindall held hands with young Louis on the way from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene church.

The Prince and Princess of Wales also released a second black and white image of their children. This photo was more informal than last weeks group shot.

Wales Children Help Out At Baby Bank

In November the Princess of Wales took her three children to the Maidenhead Baby Bank near their home in Windsor.

The Princess is a very active supporter of Baby Banks throughout Britain which provide much needed essentials to families of babies and older children.

Princes George & Louis and Princess Charlotte arrived with donated items and then set about making up Christmas bags for varying ages.

Catherine could be heard explaining to the children about the volunteers who give their time freely to support the Baby Bank.

A video released by Kensington Palace can be seen on my previous Post.

Together At Christmas Carols Concert

On Friday 8th December, Westminster Abbey played host to the 3rd annual "Together At Christmas" carols concert. The brainchild of the Princess of Wales, these concerts are a way of thanking different individuals and groups in the community who have helped others throughout the year.

This year Prince Louis attended the Carols with the rest of the Wales family as he was previously too young.

Other members of the royal family in attendance were: Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Peter Phillips and daughters Isla and Savannah, Zara Tindall, Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, Prince Michael of Kent and his daughter Lady Gabriella along with his son Lord Frederick and his family.

Catherine's parents Michael and Carole Middleton and her sister Pippa and husband James Matthews also joined the congregation.

New Portrait Of George At 10

A 10th birthday portrait of Prince George of Wales has been released by Kensington Palace. The image was captured by Millie Pilkington earlier this month at Windsor Castle. Please read my previous blog post to mark George's milestone birthday.

Prince George At 10

July 22nd marks a big milestone for Prince George of Wales- his 10th birthday.

Born in the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington on the hottest day of 2013, George had kept his parents and the world waiting for an additional 10 days past his due date. The little prince was born at 4.24pm.

Leaving hospital for home the next day, his glowing parents couldn't hide their joy as they presented the yet unnamed babe to the crowds and the media.George Alexander Louis was christened in the Chapel Royal of St James's Palace on 23rd October, 2013.

In the early months of his life, Catherine was supported by her parents Carole and Michael. As she gradually returned to royal duties, the new mum was assisted by one of William's favourite nannies- Jessie Webb who came out of retirement on a part time basis. But in February 2014, the Cambridge household was joined by full time nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo who is still with the family to this day.

The following month the the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with baby George embarked upon a royal tour to Australia and New Zealand. George has also been on royal visits to Canada, Poland and Germany.

In 2015 sister Charlotte was born, followed by brother Louis in 2018.  George has lived between Anmer Hall in Norfolk and Apartment 1A, Kensington Palace. Last summer, the Cambridge family relocated to Adelaide Cottage in the shadows of Windsor Castle. This meant moving schools from Thomas's Battersea to Lambrook School in Berkshire.

George is a sports fan who enjoys football and tennis and is a massive aviation enthusiast, in particular helicopters. Right from toddlerhood George had a fascination for not only helicopters but trucks and diggers too.

When Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8th last year, Prince George not only lost a loving Gan-Gan but the ranks and responsibilities of the adults around him changed forever.

Grandpa Wales became King Charles III and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are now the Prince and Princess of Wales, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Cornwall. As such George, Charlotte and Louis are now known as......of Wales, not Cambridge.

As Heir to the Throne, dad Prince William's role is now much busier, supporting the King in his duties and also continuing his own patronages. Catherine too has significantly increased her workload while trying to spend as much time as she can being "mum".

The loss of the Queen and a year earlier Prince Philip has left a huge gap not only in the private lives of the royal family but in the number of patronages that are now unfilled. Some of these will be spread amongst remaining working royals but a number will go without a royal patron.

As each year goes by we see George attend more events with his parents- usually church services and sporting events. Always shy in public, he is becoming more at ease.

George was recently seen visiting Eton College with his parents. Eton was attended by William and is very close to their Windsor home. Another option could be Marlborough College which Catherine attnded and is co-ed which would mean the three Wales siblings stayed together.

Although he would be a border, his parents would be very much on hand to attend sports events and the like. So in another 2 years George will most likely make the next transition in his life.

This blog has followed George's life from the pregnancy announcement in late 2012. So many events to reflect upon and so many memorable moments yet to come!

Happy Birthday Prince George!
