Happy 7th Birthday Princess Charlotte
Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge celebrates her 7th birthday on 2nd May. Charlotte is the only daughter and second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and is 4th in line to the British throne.
Like her siblings and father before her, Charlotte was born in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington. Several days overdue, the princess arrived at 8.34am weighing 8lb 3oz.
Due to a change to legislation prior to her birth Charlotte is the first female British royal not to lose her place in the line of succession after the birth of any future male siblings.
The princess is a confident young lady and won hearts very early on for her royal waves and big smiles. Charlotte loves dancing, horseriding and tennis and her dad Prince William has mentioned many times how Charlotte's desire for pretty hair braids challenges him!
Charlotte attended Willcocks's Nursery school in Kensington and is now schooled at Thomas's Battersea alongside big brother Prince George.
