The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children have flown out of Hamburg at the end of a Brexit charm offensive.
After a five day tour, the last engagement was a visit to the Airbus facility where the couple viewed the final stage of the A320 production line. They met with English and German apprentices who work at the Airbus factory in Hamburg.
Towards the close of the engagement, Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined their parents to inspect H135 and H145 helicopters. Prince William who is an air ambulance pilot of the H145 proudly showed off the aircraft to his family.
The children then clambered aboard the H135 and George donned a helmet. While the little prince seemed disinterested on the two other occasions we saw him on the tour, this time he was excited and animated. It is thought it was an early birthday treat for
George who celebrates his 4th birthday tomorrow.
Princess Charlotte has delighted each time she was in public this week, making a curtsy and also shaking hands with officials. However, today Charlotte threw a tantrum on the tarmac as the family were looking at the last helicopter. The princess dropped to the ground and started crying in a "terrible twos" tantrum. Mum Catherine scooped up Charlotte and the family made their way to their awaiting private jet.
The little princess redeemed herself by shaking hands of officials farewelling the family. The children received books and then the family made their way onto the aircraft and are jetting their way back to London.
