The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have announced the names of their baby son who was born on Monday.The little boy will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge.
Louis is the name of Prince Philip's uncle Lord Louis Mountbatten. Lord Louis was a strong mentor and grandfather figure to Prince Charles. Unfortunately Lord Louis was killed in a bomb planted on his boat by the IRA in the late 1970s.
Louis is Prince William's fourth name and is also one of Prince George's names.
Charles is obviously in honour of William's father the Prince of Wales. William's maternal uncle Lord Spencer is also Charles.
Arthur is another one of William's names ( William Arthur Philip Louis) and Charles is Charles Philip Arthur George.
So after the long wait we now know the name of our newest royal.
