Happy Birthday Prince George
Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born on July 22nd, 2013 at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. George is the first child and eldest son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and upon his birth became third in line to the British throne after grandfather Prince Charles and dad Prince William.
George was several days overdue prompting media and well-wishers to dub the lead up as the "Great Kate Wait". On the hottest day of the summer, George arrived and he left hospital the following day with his dad William and mum Catherine. George's early weeks were spent at Catherine's parents' home Bucklebury Manor in Berkshire. Grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton offered their daughter seclusion and much needed hands on support. The Cambridge home at this time was Nottingham Cottage (now home to Prince Harry), Kensington Palace. It is quite small and the family's new home, Apartment 1A was still being renovated.
The couple was determined to eschew a nanny and intent on being hands on parents. After a few months it became clear that help would be needed if the Duke and Duchess were to undertake their royal duties and also William's role as RAF Search and Rescue pilot in Wales. William and Harry's childhood nanny Jessie Webb was enlisted to help the couple on a part time basis. By February the following year, a full-time nanny Maria-Teresa Turrion Borrallo was hired and has been with the family ever since. Maria has been a huge support as the family has grown and the Cambridge's royal roles have evolved
At the age of 2 1/2 George commenced nursery school in Norfolk, near the family home Anmer Hall. Anmer became their main base from the time Charlotte was born until last July when the family returned to London.George started formal school at Thomas's Battersea in September and has now completed his reception year. The prince has loved all forms of transport since he was little and in particular helicopters which he sees quite often coming and going from royal homes.
George has joined his parents on royal tours to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Poland and Germany.

RAF Centenary Flypast
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a church service Westminster Abbey on Tuesday. This was to mark the centenary of the R.A.F.The Queen and other senior members of the Royal Family were out in force to mark the occasion. Following the service, Her Majesty gave a speech in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace.

George's First Trooping The Colour

Prince George made his first appearance at the Trooping The Colour on Saturday, only the third time he has made an official appearance in the U.K.
The little prince who is 22 months old, was first spotted at a Buckingham Palace window as the Royal Family left for Horse Guards Parade. George was cheekily poking out his tongue and seemed quite excited at the crowds and pageantry below.

the parade is held in June each year, Her Majesty's birthday is in fact
on April 21.
And then, after the parade, the Royal Family made an appearance on the Palace balcony to watch the Red Arrows flypast. For the first time, George joined them, wearing the same powder blue outfit his father Prince William wore at his debut in 1984.

Charlotte Sleeps Through The Night

Prince Charles has revealed that his newborn granddaughter Princess Charlotte has started sleeping through the night.
Charlotte, who is only five weeks old has been much easier to care for than her brother George was as a baby. Charles was chatting to War Veterans and their families during an afternoon tea held at his London home Clarence House.
Prince George who will be two in July was quite a difficult baby who didn't like to sleep very much. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not have a nanny in George's early months and were left exhausted by their first born.
Once Catherine eased back into public duties, the couple employed William's childhood nanny Jessie Webb to care for George on an ad-hoc basis to assist.
This time around, the Camridges have their full-time nanny Maria Teresa Borrallo as well as a maternity nurse to help during Charlotte's early weeks.

Charlotte and George's uncle Prince Harry will unfortunately miss the princess' Christening on July 5th.
Harry was in Australia when Charlotte was born and will now also be absent when she is Christened.
The proud Uncle will be in Africa for three months to visit various charities he is involved with.

Happy 4th Wedding Anniversary

The Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary today. Wouldn't it be a nice way to celebrate by welcoming a new baby into the world?
As Catherine is 4-6 days overdue, there is speculation that her baby will be induced over the coming days should it not arrive sooner. Uncle Prince Harry had to leave the UK to resume his stint with the Australian armed forces. Unfortunately he will not be back in London until the middle of May and will miss the birth of his new niece or nephew.
Catherine was seen leaving Buckingham Palace yesterday after collecting Prince George and his nanny from what could have been a swim in the Palace pool.
William and his wife sent boxes of pastries and croissants to the fans waiting outside St Mary's Hospital yesterday morning. They wanted to let the crowds know they are in their thoughts.

Cambridges Looking For Maternity Nurse

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are looking for a full time maternity nurse to help care for their new baby due in April.
After George's birth in 2013 the couple chose to care for him themselves with help from the Middleton family. After a few months William's old nanny Jessie Webb was brought in on an ad hoc basis. Then last March a full time nanny Maria Teresa Borrallo was hired in the lead up to the Cambridge's tour of Australia and New Zealand.
With William about to start working as an air ambulance pilot and Catherine keen to return to royal duties the couple recognises the need for extra help this time.
According to the Mail on Sunday newspaper, aides have approached Norland Nannies ( where Ms Borrallo trained) and Royal Nannies to find their new employee. A maternity nurse helps care for both mother and baby in the weeks after the birth.

Christmas Celebrations In London

The Queen hosted her extended family for the traditional pre- Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace today.
Prince George attended the celebrations with his parents The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and his nanny Maria Teresa Borrallo.
The lunch is an opportunity for the members of the royal family who aren't invited to Christmas Day lunch at Sandringham House to get together with other branches of the family.
Amongst those seen arriving were Prince Harry, Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke of Kent, his daughter Lady Helen Taylor and her daughter Lady Marina-Charlotte. Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Peter and Autumn Phillips and Princess Anne's husband Commander Timothy Laurance were also in attendance.

George In Scotland

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and 15 month old son Prince George have headed to Scotland for a short holiday.
The family has been staying at The Queen's Scottish home Balmoral Castle since last week after flying to Aberdeen Airport. Scotland holds a special place in Catherine and William's hearts after having met whilst students at St Andrew's University.
Catherine recently made a return to royal duties after being bedridden with extreme morning sickness for several weeks. The new Cambridge baby is due in April 2015.
Harassment
Early in October The Duke and Duchess started legal proceedings against a photographer they believed to be harassing George and his nanny Maria Teresa Borrallo. It seems the action was prompted by the photographer allegedly photographing the young royal in Battersea Park.
The Daily Express quoted a royal spokesman as stating:
"The Duke and Duchess have taken legal steps to ask that an individual ceases harassing and following both Prince George and his nanny as they go about their ordinary daily lives.

of time.
"The Duke and Duchess understand the
particular public role that Prince George will one day inherit, but,
while he is young, he must be permitted to lead as ordinary a life as
possible. No parent would tolerate the suspicion of someone pursuing and
harassing their child and carer whilst their child is playing in a
public park or going about their daily activities."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted an afternoon tea to celebrate Prince George's first birthday.
Close family, godparents and those who have played a role in George's life so far were invited to the Cambridge's new home at Apartment 1A, Kensington Palace.
Royal guests included Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry and Kensington Palace neighbours Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. Catherine's parents Carole and Michael Middleton and her siblings Pippa and James were also seen arriving.
George's nanny Maria Teresa Borrallo was present as was George's first nanny Jessie Webb.
The Queen stayed for around an hour and the the party spanned the time of George's birth - 4.24pm
Absent from the celebrations were Prince Philip, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall who all had previously arranged engagements.

Prince George meets the George the Easter Bilby

Prince George celebrated his first Easter today by going to Sydney's Taronga Zoo with his parents.
The Australian Government's official gift to George upon the occasion of his birth was a bilby named George!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, ably assisted by their young son, officially opened the new Prince George Bilby Exhibit at Taronga and met the marsupial namesake.
In Australia, it is common to buy chocolate bilbies in lieu of chocolate rabbits for Easter. This aims to raise awareness for the endangered bilby's plight.
Gorgeous George was hugely excited to see the animal and was patting the glass trying to reach it. Catherine remarked "he's trying to grab his ear," To which William replied "if he gets it he'll never let go,"
The young royal was presented with a soft bilby toy and he promptly threw it aside, much to his parents embarrassment! George was then handed to his nanny Maria and his parents continued to tour various zoo exhibits.
George was wearing a Rachel Riley blue striped polo top and navy shorts. He also sported Early Days leather shoes.
Later in the day the family will leave Sydney and fly to the Australian capital Canberra where they will be based for the remainder of the tour.

Fulltime Nanny Spotted With George

Seven months old Prince George has been spotted in Hyde Park in the care of a new nanny.
George's parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have flown to the Maldives for a holiday after William completed his 10 week bespoke agriculture course at Cambridge University.
It is believed the new nanny is a full time replacement for Jessie Webb who has been helping on an ad-hoc basis. Catherine's mother Carole Middleton and Ms Webb have been guiding the unnamed nanny through the routines of the young prince.
The nanny will be on hand for the Cambridge's tour of Australia and New Zealand due to commence on the 7th of April. A rest day on the 8th is planned ahead of the tour proper starting on the 9th April.
