The Duchess of Cambridge has returned to London to await the birth of baby number three. 

Prince George attends Thomas's Battersea and Princess Charlotte goes to nursery school in Kensington. Prince William, Duke of Cambridge is busy along with the other senior members of the Royal Family supporting The Queen at Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting events.

Charlotte only a few hours old

Catherine, William and the young family spent Easter with her parents in Bucklebury, Berkshire. The Cambridges then went to their country home Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate. Catherine was photographed by fellow shoppers at Waitrose in Norfolk.

So now the entire Cambridge family is settled in Apartment 1A, Kensington Palace no doubt finishing preparations for the arrival of the new prince or princess in the next week or two. 

Cambridges At Easter

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children George and Charlotte spent Easter with Catherine's family in Berkshire.

Carole and Michael Middleton hosted the the family for what would have been a fun time in the lead up to the arrival of the third Cambridge baby.

Catherine and William enjoy being part of normal family gatherings and the children would have been doted on by their grandparents.

On Easter Sunday, the Duke and Duchess travelled to nearby Windsor Castle to attend mass with the Royal Family. However they became stuck in a traffic jam and arrived at St George's Chapel after Her Majesty. The Queen is always last to arrive and this lapse in protocol would not have pleased Her Majesty.

Anyone stuck in traffic knows that there is little that can be done but be patient. One would think that police outriders could have eased the path but perhaps that was not possible.

The Duchess looked lovely with her baby bump seeming to grow daily. With each pregnancy she suffers from extreme morning sickness which requires extended periods of bed rest and medical intervention. But towards the end Catherine seems much more energetic and can be seen out and about shopping.

On Easter Monday the family was back at their country home Anmer Hall in Norfolk. Photos have appeared on the internet showing Catherine shopping at Waitrose in Norfolk.

George and Charlotte will be due back at school and preschool in London so it is expected the Cambridges will head back to their Kensington Palace home soon.

Royal Chelsea Flower Show

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Prince Harry, HM The Queen and many other members of the royal family attended the first day of the 2016 Royal Chelsea Flower Show.

William and Catherine were able to see the chrysanthemum named in honour of their daughter Princess Charlotte by Dutch company Deliflor. The flower has been on sale in Waitrose supermarkets and a percentage of the sale is donated to EACH of which the Duchess is Patron. 
 
EACH, which provides hospice care for children, had a garden display at the Chelsea Flower Show and was visited by Charlotte's proud parents. 

Earlier in the day, Catherine had been spotted in Kensington Gardens pushing Charlotte in her stroller with George walking along beside. Until I can verify the photo I have seen is not a paparazzi shot, I will not publish it here. 

Prince George also had a treat this week. Catherine had been walking with her children outside their Kensington Palace home. 

The threesome had been to see Princess Anne depart Kensington Gardens in a helicopter. George was later seen sitting on a Metropolitan Police motorcycle but Charlotte was in her stroller. 

The sit on the motorcycle topped off an exciting adventure for the young prince who will be 3 on July 22nd. 

Veteran royal watchers will remember a similar photo of William and Harry sitting on a police motorbike when they were very young also. 

Charlotte's Special Flower

A chrysanthemum named in honour of Princess Charlotte is going on sale in Waitrose on the young royal's 1st birthday, 2nd May. 50p from every sale will be donated to one of the Duchess of Cambridge's charities. 

The Telegraph newspaper reported on the flower as follows:

A pink flower named after the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is being exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The Princess Charlotte chrysanthemum, which is baby pink with green tips, is also going on sale at branches of supermarket Waitrose.
The bloom has been produced by Dutch company Deliflor, the world's largest chrysanthemum breeder. It delivered a bouquet of the chrysanthemums to the new royal parents shortly after Princess Charlotte's birth.

"It was the day after the baby princess was named and as the flower was baby pink, I felt 'Charlotte' would be a good name" Johan Heemskerk(said).

 The chrysanthemum is being entered for the prestigious Flower of the Year competition at Chelsea, which runs from May 24 to 28.

It will go on sale for £8 at 180 Waitrose branches from May 2, Princess Charlotte's first birthday, with 50p donated to East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) for every plant sold. 
The Duchess, 34, is royal patron of the charity, which cares for children with life-threatening conditions and supports their families.

Waitrose's horticultural Buyer Tracey Telford said: "We're happy to be able to support such a worthwhile charity and we're sure that the Princess Charlotte chrysanthemum, with its beautiful pale pink petals, will be popular with customers this Spring.
"We're also hoping that it will prove a popular bloom at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May."

EACH's Karen Newton said: "We are delighted that Waitrose have chosen to support us through sales of these beautiful flowers.
"This generous gesture from Waitrose will ensure we can continue to deliver vital services."
Deliflor chose the royal floral tribute at the suggestion of Johan Heemskerk after its annual social media competition to name a new variety.

Explaining his choice, Mr Heemskerk said: "It was the day after the baby princess was named and as the flower was baby pink, I felt 'Charlotte' would be a good name.
"The British royal family and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, in particular, are immensely popular in The Netherlands."

The Princess Charlotte Chrysanthemum is the latest in a long line of flowers named after members of the Royal Family.
The Georgie Boy daffodil, named after Prince George, was unveiled by Walkers Bulbs at the 2014 Chelsea Flower Show.
