Cambridges Arrive In Canberra

Sunday 20th April, 2014
Government House, Canberra

The Cambridge family ended their very busy Easter Sunday by flying from Sydney to the Australian capital, Canberra.

The flight time is usually less than half an hour so there would have been time for only a cup of tea for the Duke and Duchess and a quick snack for George.

Upon arriving at Fairbairn Airforce Base, Catherine and William were met by Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove and Foreign Minister Julie Bishop.

Young George was dressed in a lovely blue Moss stitch cardigan by Rachel Riley ( http://www.rachelriley.com/product/787/Baby_Boy/Clothing/Knitwear), navy shorts and his Early Days pre-walker leather shoes.

Canberra's Government House in the lake-side suburb of Yarralumla will be the base for the family for the remaining 4 days of the tour. I am sure Catherine, William and George will go for walks in the grounds and see the large kangaroo population that calls this residence home.

Tomorrow is a designated rest day.
