Under the watchful eye of his proud parents, eight months old Prince George took part in his first official duty today.
The occasion was a playdate at Government House organised by family support group, Plunket. Plunket offers health services and advice to young families in New Zealand. Ten other families and their young babies of similar age to George were selected to take part in the playgroup.
George showed off his two bottom front teeth and guests were told he has four or five more about to pop though. The young prince squirmed in his mothers arms and sucked her hair but once put down he crawled off to find a toy.
He loved the tamborine, wooden toys and blocks. George was not shy and seemed to take command of the room. Catherine remarked that he had played with other babies before but never in a group as large as today's.
